Features

The M1 is a true "double-down" amplifier with 1000W into 8 ohms and 2000W into 4 ohms, with THD remaining under 0.1% from 20 Hz to 20 kHz at full output. Frequency response is load-independent - between 4 ohms and 8 ohms there is no change in frequency response, and between 2 ohms and an open circuit the difference is only 0.1 dB! Adding to the innovation, is the Switching Power Supply which makes power shortages a non-factor while providing outstanding dynamic contrasts. The balanced output section delivers a balanced load to the power supply ensuring complete stability and efficiency, less ripple on the supply rails and more efficiency from the supply capacitors. On most amps ripple current is at the same frequency as output but because the M1's output section is balanced it is at twice the output frequency, significantly reducing distortion. When combined with Power Factor Correction, input voltage demand can always be met. Combining thermal conductivity and phase transition the M1's cooling system removes the need for fans, enabling multiple M1s to be stacked on one another with no danger of overheating. Here's how it works: Sealed copper pipes contain a small amount of special fluid under a slight vacuum. When the temperature at one end of the pipe rises - that's the end adjacent to the amplifier's power devices - the fluid close to that end evaporates. This vapor is naturally drawn to the cooler end of the heatpipe which is along the large heatsink on the side of the amp's chassis, where it condenses. From there, an internal wick structure brings the fluid back to the hotter end of the pipe through capillary action. This process is very quick, many times faster than the transfer of heat through metal alone.
